If at any time you wish
information about your child’s progress, we welcome you to call the school for
a personal interview with the teacher.
The school staff will be pleased to discuss the education opportunities
and programs in the school. If problems
arise, contact us promptly so we can assist you.
The success of your child’s
learning depends to a large extent on how well parents, teachers and children
work together. Only with all of us
working together, can we develop your child’s full potential-academic, physical
and social.
Brigden Public School endorses homework as a planned
part of the educational process designed to enhance learning. Homework is a means to build life-long
learning skills such as self-discipline, task commitment, time management,
responsibility, independence, initiative, and problem solving. Through well-planned homework activities,
students will realize that learning occurs in a variety of settings.
It should also be noted that the amount of homework
would vary as some pupils use classroom work periods to their advantage. Spending time at home reviewing work or
reading is always beneficial, as this habit will establish a pattern for
studies.
In order to live and work with success in a
fast-changing world, our students need to develop:
·
the
motivation and ability to continue to learn
·
effective
communication skills
·
social
skills that will allow them to participate fully in society and creative
thinking skills.
Schools and parents must work together to help students meet these needs.
