STUDENT’S ROLE

The completion of homework is the responsibility of the student. 

 

·         Know when assignments are due.  Set deadlines.

·         Utilize this  “planner” to record assignments.

·         Request clarification of assignment, if needed.

·         Ensure the necessary materials are taken home.

·         Ask for assistance, after trying on one’s own.

·         Be aware of the consequences of not completing homework.

·         Ask for and complete work that has been missed due to absence from school.

 

DRESS CODE

While at school, students are expected to be dressed in a tasteful, age-appropriate manner.  Students who, in the opinion of the school staff, are inappropriately dressed will be required to correct the problem before returning to class.

Inappropriate dress includes:

·         bandanas, hats, or hoods worn in the school;

·         short shorts;

         clothing or jewelry with profanity, symbols or pictures of alcohol, drugs, sex, violence and /or display cultural and racial insensitivity;

·        halter tops, tank tops, muscle shirts, bare backs and midriffs (shirt straps should be 5cm or width of three fingers)

·        clothing that is full of holes;

·         detachable chains;        

Jackets and coats are not to be worn in the classrooms.

 

GUM

Gum is not permitted in the school or on the playground.
