Our Classroom Rules

 
1. Use indoor voices.

2. Respect others. Speak politely to others and use your manners.

3. Use walking feet--walk in the halls, washroom and classroom.

4. Use listening ears--listen to others when they are talking.

5. Help someone else when needed. (I help you, you help me).

6. Take turns--wait for your turn.

7. Help to keep the room tidy. Clean up after yourself.

8. Be friends with everyone. Do not fight or hurt someone. (Be a friend--helps to prevent tattling, promotes kindness, consideration of feelings, etc.)

9. Use your own good thinking. (Promotes the responsibility of making good choices).

10. Follow the rules and signals of the teacher. (Promotes smooth, consistent routines for packing, unpacking, listening, mobility, sharing time, etc.)

11. Good, better, best! Never let it rest. Until your good is better, and your better is best! (Promotes consistent standards and quality of work and behaviour).

If We Follow the Rules

1. Everyone will be safe.

2. Everyone will be happy.

3. Special treat day / Points will be given / Popcorn will be awarded / Visits to the treasure box.

4. Certificates will be given out.

 

If We Do Not Follow the Rules

1. We will review the rules.

2. Time Out / Loss of Privileges / Points / Popcorn

3. Call or write a note home to your parents or guardian.

4. Discuss ways to solve the problem. (Visit to Principal's office).
